I am a proudly self taught artist who paints predominantly in oil paint. My preferred subject is wildlife in their natural element and environment.
Living on a sheep farm is where I draw inspiration from.
I employ an old fashioned layering technique, building color and texture gradually to create scenes of a near three-dimensional quality. My paintings take time and patience to achieve the final creation.
My aim is to capture movement and light, bringing a magical like realism to my paintings of everyday natural wildlife scenes.
My pieces will invite you into moments of serene wonder.
My paintings are owned by many collectors in New Zealand and overseas. I have recently won the 'People's Choice' award in the 2026 Tasman National Art awards.
I exhibit each year at the Christchurch Art Show at Te Pae run by Art Shows across Aotearoa.
My work is also available through Raukura Gallery Picton, Art Box Gallery Christchurch and Zea You Gallery Taupo.
