I am a proudly self taught artist who paints predominantly in oil paint. My preferred subject is wildlife in their natural element and environment.
Living on a sheep farm is where I draw inspiration from.
I employ an old fashioned layering technique, building color and texture gradually to create scenes of a near three-dimensional quality. My paintings take time and patience to achieve the final creation.
My aim is to capture movement and light, bringing a magical like realism to my paintings of everyday natural wildlife scenes.
